People are Great because of their Dreams

This world only teaches us knowledge and skills, but rarely teaches the meaning behind them. We work hard, stay busy, constantly absorb new knowledge and learn new skills. All these are good. The question is, do these knowledge and skills help us get what we really want?

Humans are animals that seek meaning, and they will not be satisfied just because their basic physiological needs are met. We need dreams! Each of us is already on the journey of our lives. The question is: Are you heading towards your goal? Or are you just going with the flow, letting the environment and others decide your final outcome? This decision is in your hands. If you don't decide the direction of your life, others, the environment, and bad habits will decide for you. Life is yours. You have to decide where to go, and you have to be responsible for your life before God.

1. Vision inspires motivation

"Where there is no vision, the people perish." (Proverbs 29:18a)

When a person has no vision, he has no direction, is not restrained, and does not care what he does. Today, many people perish because of lack of direction.

Our society relies on external forces to constrain people. Society constrains people through coercion, guilt and bargaining power, but these constraints are limited because they are external. If you no longer belong to the organization or group, or if you leave the environment, the constraints will disappear.

The lasting power that can inspire people to move forward and even make sacrifices for it must come from within, that is, the power of vision. A person with a vision will never be tired of his vision. Vision can inspire motivation and make people never tired of it; if you lose your vision, you will lose the motivation to fight.

Imagine a football game without a goal. No matter how high the morale of the players is when they come on the field, they will feel discouraged and confused in less than two minutes. The goal is important, isn't it? The goal of life is also important. Do you have a goal in your life? The goal is your vision of life. If there is no vision of life, where does life get motivation? Life without a vision is like a ship without a rudder. Drifting in the sea of people, not knowing where to go. Without vision, people can do anything and will be unbridled.

We need vision! We need dreams!

2. Vision triggers potential

Vision provides a long-term, lofty life goal, and the goal can trigger the power hidden in people.

The Niagara Falls on the US-Canada border is very spectacular. The rumbling sound can be heard from a kilometer away. The deafening momentum is like a thousand horses galloping. For thousands of years, billions of tons of water rushed down the 180-foot cliff and flowed far away, until one day someone proposed a hydroelectric power plan to direct part of this huge water power to a power generation target. From then on, thousands of households have been supplied with cheap electricity. This huge potential of nature has been triggered to become electricity that blesses tens of millions of people, all because people with intentions have directed it to a specific goal. Goals can concentrate power, and when power is concentrated, it releases great energy.

Goals can help our scattered power focus on one point and achieve things that seem impossible to people. The loftier and greater the goal, the more it can trigger the inner potential and enable people to achieve great things.

3. Vision creates meaning

People are not afraid of hard work, but they are afraid that the hard work will be meaningless! Vision inspires passion. As long as there is a vision, every activity becomes meaningful under the vision, and even sacrifice is worth it.

There are many lukewarm Christians in this era. Why are they lukewarm? Lack of vision! Christians in this era are in urgent need of vision. As long as there is a vision, people will have passion. As long as there is an ideal, people will not be afraid of paying. As long as they find meaning, people will not be afraid of hard work.

4. Vision can lead to success

Constructing your life is a serious project, because you can only live once. It is more serious and great than climbing Mount Everest, because this is your life, a different life, and you are responsible for your life. We must have a clear vision of what kind of person we will become in the future and what work we will accomplish for God, and build our lives step by step every day based on this vision.

There are two creations in this world: the creation in vision and the creation in reality. The second creation is based on the first creation. The first creation is the creation of the ultimate picture, the creation of thinking and imagination. Any great creation starts with an end. Any great creation starts with a vision. In fact, almost any creation in life must first be created by thinking. Only when you have a vision, a vision or an imagination and finally see the finished product, can you create the real thing.

People should have dreams. Let us listen to the voice of our hearts. Never let the world decide what you want and what you don't want. Write down your dreams and make them your personal life goals. Having a clear life goal is a good start. A good start is half the battle.
